In Ireland 1 in 10 people suffer from depression, and at least 25% will experience some kind of mental health issue. In the last 20 years, the stigma attached to attending therapy or a councilor has been greatly lifted, and more people are benefiting from these services than before.
My intention for the project was to examine the monotony of attending a weekly session and what phrases the patient’s associate with their therapist/s. The project explored the relationship between image and text, by using a juxtaposition of therapeutic questions and portraits of the patients.
